Froberg Aerospace seeks an outstanding and dedicated engineer to join the team in its development of paradigm shifting small satellite propulsion systems. This is a combined summer + fall intern position (40 hrs/wk) at Froberg's headquarters located in Wilmington, NC or remotely within the United States. Specific hours and days are flexible. -Assist in test operations for Froberg’s novel multimode propulsion system.
-Assist in postprocessing and analysis of test data using Python or similar program language.
-Assist in developing numerical models and analyzing novel designs.
-Support parallel efforts as needs arise.
-Actively pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar field.
-Have completed at least one course in fluid mechanics and/or heat transfer.
-Previous experience with programming language such as Python, Matlab, C++, etc.
-Previous experience in student design teams or undergraduate/graduate research.
-Previous experience in rocket propulsion systems.
