Summer/Fall Engineering Intern 2022
Froberg Aerospace seeks an outstanding and dedicated engineer to join the team in its development of paradigm shifting small satellite propulsion systems. This is a summer intern position (40 hrs/wk) at Froberg's headquarters located in Wilmington, NC or satellite operations in Raleigh, NC. Specific hours and days are flexible. Intern must be available to work a minimum of 10 weeks during summer months and it is anticipated this position will be continued through the Fall on a part-time basis (10-20 hrs/wk). Responsibilities:
-Assist in test operations for Froberg’s novel multimode propulsion system.
-Assist in postprocessing and analysis of test data using Python or similar program language.
-Assist in developing numerical models and analyzing novel designs.
-Support parallel efforts as needs arise.
Required Qualifications:
-Actively pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar field.
-Have completed at least one course in fluid mechanics and/or heat transfer.
-Previous experience with programming language such as Python, Matlab, C++, etc.
Desired Qualifications:
-Previous experience in student design teams or undergraduate/graduate research.
-Previous experience in rocket propulsion systems, even if just at the hobby level.
